Outrageous and Weird Fast Food Knock-Offs from Around the World 2

Dairy Queen? What about the Dairy Fairy? Oh boy! The sequel! If you remember, last season I made a post about this with this quote at the end: "So that's all the fast food knock-offs I could find. But there's more, oh there's more, there might be a part 2 to this." Well, there is now. Today we will be looking at MORE fast food knock offs! We'll be looking at two new restaurant's knock-offs, and three from last time. So without further ado... Why eat at McDonald's when you can eat at... Maybe that's the founder's name... Looks like we're starting with this bad boy again. McDonald's has so many knock-offs that It had to be one of the three restaurants for me to bring back for this one. Up there is Al Donald. Maybe it's not a knock-off, maybe it's just the owner's name... Eh, it still has the similar logo, so it is a knock-off! Anyway, there's more, such as As Burger, Mr Mahmoud, and even a bootleg McDon...

Throwback Marshmallow: Straw Hat Pizza

In summer 1959, Surfing and beaches were the craze of the time in west coast California. Across highways sat different burger and other restaurant carts, selling food through drive thru windows. However, a popular icon was about to rock California... for about 20 years. This is episode 2 of Throwback Marshmallow, on Straw Hat Pizza. 1959: Introduction The first Straw Hat Pizza opened it's doors on July 10, 1959. It's pizza was nothing like other pizza; it has layered, flaky crust, light toppings and 6 types of cheese. It was crispier, it was fresher, and it was tastier, making the West Coast crave for more. Little did they know, it was a sensation to last decades. 1960-1969: Expansion The first Straw Hat Pizzas were modest and normal but a good hangout spot with it's hard seating, red carpets and lively wallpapers. Along with it's menu and ice cold beer, each establishment included old time movies, horse rides, and even local bands playing there. The slogan ...

What Will They Name Android Q?

Android Pie's logo, The ninth version of Android. The other 8 versions. So, Android P is finally out, with the name being Pie. I honestly thought it would be Popsicle, but whatever. But now, with Google's "Alphabetical Order Sweets" names for each version, It makes it really hard to pick one for Android Q. Heck, for Android N they had to get help from the internet to pick Nougat. Also the naming for these versions made me name the The Weekly Marshmallow seasons how they are. So in this post, we'll be looking at what I can come up with for Q. Next year I guess I'll have to do one for R, but not now. But anyway, here we go. Quiche Quiche is probably the first thing you think of when you think of food that starts with Q. That means it could be a nice idea for Android Q, right? Not exactly. You see, Google names them after Sweets and not normal food, which could be a problem for Quiche. The food usually is filled with cheese and bacon, but desert v...

The Weekly Marshmallow: Season 1: Apple Pie Edition

Well, Season 1 of The Weekly Marshmallow is over, and I'm going to make a name for each season based off of breakfast items. Season 1 is known as "Apple Pie Edition" because I couldn't think of anything else. Apple Pie existed from the creation of the site in November 2017 to the revival in September 2018. List of posts in Apple Pie edition A Sweet, Sweet Story - An Android Retrospective (teaser) Outrageous and Weird Fast-Food Knock-Offs from Around the World Sweet Beginnings - Android Retrospective: Part 1 Throwback Marshmallow: Funny Face drink mix The Daily Marshmallow's Return Quite a short season, but since the site has returned, I think it was a good time to start Season 2. Here's to a good start to Season Two... Bacon Edition!

The Daily Marshmallow's return

Hey, it's been a while. A LONG while. This site has remained dormant for months, seven to be exact. Why? I've been working on my other blog,  100 Counties 100 County Seats , where I try to visit every county in North Carolina. That site has also been dormant, but that was because I haven't visited any in 2 months. Anyway, I am proud to announce that The Daily Marshmallow will return this month, with a new post tomorrow, because this post doesn't count for this week. Some stuff to look out for in the future: The Android retrospective will be cancelled. A new series on the site known as "Mallow Games" Will start soon. Throwback Marshmallow will continue. More normal posts. Maybe Knock-offs part 2? And that's it! I hope you're ready to see more content from now on, because it is going to come! See you tomorrow!
